Simulation


For large or complex systems, simulation studies are essential to risk reduction and feasibility assessments and offer a highly cost-effective method of pre-testing in advance of the full system build. RTS maintains an extensive suite of skills in the latest 3D simulation tools, as well as offering robotic and control systems simulation.

Effectively designed simulation studies enable different scenarios to be tested and can provide early analysis of system specification during development, as well as performance assessment and verification and overall feasibility.

The simulation provides an excellent visual tool to communicate the operation and benefits of a project to the ultimate clients. We have also used simulation for operator training before the final equipment is delivered, shortening training time and reducing risk.

The validity of simulation is enhanced further when combined with client production data and cycle time information from RTS trials and tests.
 
Past RTS simulation projects have included: multi-robot pick and place systems for food and consumer goods; robotic palletising and conveying systems; nuclear waste handling; testing control software of a simulation of a 9 degree of freedom manipulator; automated storage and warehousing solutions.
